The Diversity Center offers a number of peer-to-peer support groups aimed at building community and reducing feelings of isolation.
NEW! Queer Life, Love, and Loss: An LGBTQ+ Peer Support Group
Date: Mondays, starting November 18 and ending December 23
Time: 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Location: The Diversity Center
Ages: 18+
Whether we’re L, G, B, T, Q, or more; whether we’re cis, trans, or nonbinary, queer living gives us a common ground. Community members 18 and older are welcome to this peer group, where we will co-create a safe space to mourn and to celebrate, to support and listen to each other, and have the space to make meaningful connections. Here we can grieve our losses and celebrate our loves, and to be grateful for how our lives are enriched by each other. We’ll explore different themes each week, such as: resources and challenges; gratitude and hopes/wishes; relationships (friends, lovers, and chosen family); and grief and loss.

GenderVentures for LGBTQ+ Youth

Ages: 11-18
Gender is a journey that we all traverse, and whether it’s trotting, skipping, or sashaying- every single one of us must navigate our own gender identity. One of the best ways to freely explore gender diversity safely is to do so with community! GenderVentures will offer tangible skills for young people wanting to investigate their own gender identity or expression, or for allies who are seeking skills to support and discuss these topics.
