This November 14th, we proudly present the virtual Senior Luncheon Social at Thanksgiving, catered by the incomparable Chef Mickey, and hosted by the exceptional Pat Dellin and the inimitable Curt Keyer.

Our luncheon social will take place by phone and online, with a special complimentary meal available for pickup at the Elks Lodge in Santa Cruz. RSVP by Thursday, November 5th to 60plus@diversitycenter.org to reserve your meal (turkey and vegetarian available), and pick it up beginning 11:30am on Saturday the 14th.

Special thanks and warm appreciation to our sponsors; without them our luncheon wouldn't be possible. November's luncheon social is sponsored by Lifespan at the Starlight level, and by Aptos Feed & Pet Supply at the Satellite level. The complementary Thanksgiving meal has been provided by a generous donor and member of our community, who wishes to remain anonymous.

The Zoom room will be open by 12:15, so you can check your connection and ask any questions you may have. The luncheon will begin at 12:30 with an invocation by Anne Forsberg. Along with announcements and music, you'll also have social time with your community in several breakout rooms. Our featured speaker John Laird will give his analysis of the November elections. John Laird is a former Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency, and one of the first two openly gay men to serve in the California legislature. He became one of the country's first openly gay mayors in 1983, when he took over the mayoralty of Santa Cruz. He is currently running for California state senator, hoping to represent the 17th District.
