Contra dance is a community dance with live music and a Caller that teaches and prompts each move, similar to Square dance, but in long lines. Bring dance shoes, a water bottle, snacks to share at the break and a friend or two. Or come alone, we are a very friendly group and you do not need a partner. Each new dance you will hear the Caller asking you to thank your partner and to find a new partner for the next dance. Twirly skirts are fun, if you feel so inclined :) The Caller will be using the dance role terms Larks/Ravens (Larks=person on the Left, Ravens=person on the Right) in place of Ladies/Gents.
