This week's support group will have a special Name Change Workshop with guests from the CRLA. 

California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc.’s LGBT Program will give a presentation that explains the steps necessary to win a legal name and gender change via court order.  CRLA will explain the legal requirements, the necessary forms and ways to reduce the costs.  The presentation will be focused on the legal process for seeking a court ordered name and/or gender change, and will include information relevant to people with limited income and young people under the age of 18.  This presentation is intended for members of the transgender community, as well as supportive parents, family members and friends, who are interested in understanding the process.
