"Word to Our Mother" focuses on the intersecting issues of climate change and diverse perspectives for environmental/social justice. The event goes against the grain and features socially conscious female artists, with their headliner being Mare Advertencia Lirica, indigenous hip hop artist from Oaxaca, Mexico.
