Who: Community Elders interested in learning about Yosemite Park
 

What:   Lisa Murphy, Ranger in Yosemite,  will share the  story of the early days of the state of California and  the preservation movement that became the foundation of the National Park system as well as the California State Parks.

Yosemite National Park is one of our nation’s treasures, it’s preservation began 150 years ago. Lisa is a dual citizen of Yosemite and Santa Cruz.  She migrates to Santa Cruz for the winter months, and heads to the high sierra to spend her summers as the Supervisor of  the Mather District in Yosemite’s high country.
