"Kingian Nonviolence is a philosophy of nonviolent conflict reconciliation in the tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, and the organizing strategies of the Civil Rights Movement. It is a holistic view of conflict...This training has been so successful in so many different settings because of it’s broad approach. Conflict is universal, and whether you are dealing with conflict on a global level (between the rich and the poor), community level (street violence), social level (coworkers), inter-personal level (family), or personal level (internal), this philosophy applies. We believe that conflict on any level plays by the same rules.” -East Point Academy Website

It’s been said that this training, the only one of its kind granted permission to use Dr. King’s name, was King’s final marching orders before his assassination involved the radical potential of institutionalizing and internationalizing nonviolence.
