General Information

Mission

Triangle Speakers is a program of the Diversity Center a Santa Cruz based non-profit organization. Triangle Speakers works to eliminate fear, prejudice, and hatred against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people so that a healthy environment exists for all members of our community in Santa Cruz County.

Triangle Speakers actively pursues a sensitive and meaningful process to increase our cultural competency.

Speakers Bureau

We train individuals to become speakers who then sit on panels to speak from their own personal experiences in order to dispel myths and stereotypes of the GLBT community. Each panel consists of someone that is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and a straight ally.

We host panels across Santa Cruz County (as well as neighboring cities like Salinas) in middle schools, high schools, colleges & universities, organizations, health agencies, churches and businesses.
