41st Annual Santa Cruz Pride Parade

Cheer on our 2015 Grand Marshals and a wide variety of contingents making up the largest LGBTQ+ Pride parade on the Central Coast. In this queer visibility action, members of our Santa Cruz community - organizations, allies, supportive groups, churches, candidates, ensembles, performers, parents, children - will show pride, activism, enthusiasm and love.

STEP OFF TIME: 11:00am

START LOCATION:  Pacific Ave & Church Street

END LOCATION:  Cathcart Street & Center Street

The Parade concludes at the Pride Festival Grounds!

Enter your contingent in the Parade:

All are welcome to join our parade!  Register your contingent by completing the reservation form below.  Floats and other vehicles will only be permitted to enter the parade with advance registration.


Monitor Training:  **REQUIRED**

All contingents are asked to provide monitors, without whom we would not be able to have a parade. The City of Santa Cruz is very supportive of our presence, and we want to reciprocate it by meeting all permit terms - including  providing safety monitors at intersections and along the Parade route. Parade participation carries low suggested donation rates (see below), making it important that contingents provide the requisite number of volunteer monitors.   *Please see the  reservation form above for the number of monitors required by type of contingent.*

All monitors and drivers must attend one of the two training sessions at the Diversity Center:

Thursday, May 28th @ 5:30 - 6:30pm

Monday, June 1st @ 6:00 - 7:00pm

Both trainings last about an hour and will cover everything monitors need to know to do the job well.

Parade Details:

Gathering Locations and time for the 2015 Santa Cruz Pride Parade Contingents:

Motorvehicle Contingent Check-in:  9:00am

Walking Contingent Check-in:  10:00am

All Contingents Fully Assembled:  10:30am

Contingents should be fully assembled in their staging area at 10:30am. The Parade steps off at 11:00am on Sunday, June 7th at Church on Pacific. To ensure that your organization is part of the action, complete a Parade Contingent Reservation Form.


Parade Donations:

Parade contingents are strongly encouraged to make a donation based on contingent size and type.  We rely on these donations to pay city permits; permits require us to provide barricades, security guards, tow trucks, no parking signs, and police officers.

Parade Participation requested minimum donations:

Businesses (per contingent):

  •     Truck/Float $250

  •     Car $100

  •     Walkers $50

Non-Profit (per contingent):

  •     Truck/Float $75

  •     Car $50

  •     Walkers $25
