All are welcome to join our parade!  Register your contingent by completing the reservation form below.  Floats and other vehicles will only be permitted to enter the parade with advance registration.

Monitor Training:  **REQUIRED**

All contingents are asked to provide monitors, without whom we would not be able to have a parade.  See reservation form above for monitors required by type of contingent.  All monitors and drivers must attend a training session at the Diversity Center from 6:00 - 7:00pm on either Monday, May 19th or Wednesday, May 21st.  Both trainings last about an hour and will cover everything monitors need to know to do the job well.

Parade Details:

The 2014 Santa Cruz Pride Parade will gather at 9:00am for contingents with motor vehicles and at 10:00am at the corner of Cathcart and Pacific (in front of Kiantis) for check-in.

Contingents should be fully assembled in their staging area at 10:30am. The Parade steps off at 11:00am on Sunday, June 1st.

Come see our Grand Marshals and a wide variety of contingents making up the largest LGBT+ Pride parade on the Central Coast.

In this largest queer visibility action of the year, members of our community, organizations, allies, supportive groups, churches, candidates, parents, children will show our pride, activism, enthusiasm and love. The City of Santa Cruz is very supportive of our presence, and we want to reciprocate it by meeting all permit terms- which means providing safety monitors at intersections and along the Parade route. Since we are offering participation in the parade at such low suggested donation rates, it is really important that you provide the requisite number of volunteer monitors.  All monitors and drivers must attend a training session (see above).

Parade Participation requested minimum donations:

Businesses (per contingent):

  • Truck/Float $250
  • Car $100
  • Walkers $50

Non-Profit (per contingent):

  • Truck/Float $75
  • Car $50
  • Walkers $25

Our permit also requires us to provide barricades, security guards, tow trucks, no parking signs and police officers, so your requested donations are greatly needed.
