All contingents are asked to provide monitors, without whom we would not be able to have a parade.  See reservation form for monitors required by type of contingent.  All monitors and drivers must attend a training session on Thurs. May 23 or Wed. May 29 at 6pm at the Diversity Center.  Both trainings last about an hour and will cover everything monitors need to know to do the job well.

Parade Details:

The Pride Santa Cruz LGBT Parade 2013 will gather at Pacific Avenue and Cathcart Street at 9:30 am on Sunday, June 2nd, and will step off at 11 am. We will be led by Dykes on Bikes®, with CHEER San Francisco setting the pace, followed by our Grand Marshals.

In this largest queer visibility action of the year, members of our community, organizations, allies, supportive groups, churches, candidates, parents, children will show our pride, activism, enthusiasm and love. To make sure that your organization is part of the action, complete a Parade Contingent Reservation Form by May 21, 2013:

The City of Santa Cruz is very supportive of our presence, and we want to reciprocate it by meeting all permit terms- which means providing safety monitors at intersections and along the Parade route. Since we are offering participation in the parade at such low suggested donation rates, it is really important that you provide the requisite number of volunteer monitors.  All monitors and drivers must attend a training session on Thurs. May 23 or Wed. May 29 at 6pm at the Diversity Center.

Here are our requested minimum donations for participating in the parade.

$25 Trucks/Floats
$20 Car
$10 Walking Contingent
$25 Per Motorcyle Contingent, or $5 per motorcycle

Our permit also requires us to provide barricades, security guards, tow trucks, no parking signs and police officers, so your requested donations are greatly needed.
