2009 Pride Santa Cruz a Success!
Over 3,000 community members celebrated the 35th Annual Pride Santa Cruz last year.
The 2009 Pride Program, mailed to nearly 3,000 individuals and businesses on the Diversity Center's mailing list, and the 2009 Pre-Pride Poster, distributed throughout Santa Cruz County, helped get the word out.
Some of the Pride sponsor's in 2009 included: AAA; Dream Inn; First Congregational Church; Franco's Night Club; Inner Light Ministries; Pacific Oaks College - Los Angeles; Temple Beth El; Terry Cavanagh, Pacific Sun Properties; Planned Parenthood; Pure Pleasure; Santa Cruz Downtown Association; and Seaside Company.
Booths throughout the festival included food, community resources, businesses plus a dance tent. The Pride Stage welcomed elected officials, religious leaders, dance and musical performers, community leaders, the Grand Marshal, County of Santa Cruz Proclamation honorees and many more. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make 2009 Pride Santa Cruz a success!
