The 2012 Diversity Center Resource Directory is heading to print, but you can still support the success of your business or organization. We market the Resource Directory to the community as their first choice in finding what they need in Santa Cruz County...while "voting" with their wallets. 

If you own, work at, or know of a LGBTIQ-owned or friendly business, it needs to be in the 2011 Resource Directory! Let the community know you are out there and ready for their business.

In 2011:

  • Circulation: Mailing directories to nearly 3,000 individuals on the Diversity Center’s mailing list in the greater Santa Cruz County area.
  • Distribution: On-going distribution at businesses, organizations, and events throughout the county.
  • Resource: The 2010 Directory included over 114 pages of advertisements, non-profit listings, and countless resources.
  • Coupon Pages: Printing several pages of coupons for our advertisers to promote their businesses.
  • Color Cover: To enhance the visibility and attractiveness of the Resource Directory, the book will feature a color cover, front and back pages, as well as 2 pages of full color advertisements in the centerfold.
  • Online Resource Directory: All listings featured in the printed version of the Resource Directory are included in the Online Resource Directory. There is added protection for email addresses to protect against spam bots.
  • Online Ads: To maximize visibility of ad artwork featured in the printed Directory, an option is offered to include ads in the Online Resource Directory.

Business Advertising

For businesses, the Resource Directory offers four opportunities for visibility:

        (1) Standard Business Listing:
  • Includes business name, address, contact information, plus 175 characters maximum of descriptive text in the printed directory.
  • Text is also added to the Diversity Center’s Online Resource Directory year-round.
  • Rate: $35 per listing
(2) Coupon Listing:
  • Includes one coupon at the end  of the directory.
  • Measurements: 3.5” wide x 2.25” tall
  • Rate: $55 per Coupon Listing with the purchase of a Standard Business Listing and/or Advertisement.
  • Rate: $125 per Coupon Listing without any other listing or advertisement.
(3) Advertisement:
  • Includes Ad (full page to business card size) plus one Standard Business Listing.
  • In addition to the Resource Directory booklet listing and advertisement, the text is also added to the Diversity Center’s Online Resource Directory year-round.

  • Advertisers have an option to be featured in the Online Resource Directory.
  • This year we are offering a three premium banner ads.
  • $100 to be listed 1st on your related page (eg: realtors)
  • $75 to be listed 2nd
  • $50 to be listed 3rd
  • $35 for all other online ads placed next to your listing
  • All banners must be 7" wide x 1 1/16" tall

Ad Artwork

Artwork: Artwork must be provided in PDF (preferred), EPS, TIFF or JPEG Format. Final artwork must be 300 dpi resolution, with fonts converted to outlines or embedded, grey-scale for black-white ads, in the finished output size.

Artwork Design Assistance - Limited Availability: For businesses who do not have access to a graphic artist, graphic design assistance is available on a limited basis at no charge for the first hour and at a rate of $65 an hour (30 minute billing intervals) thereafter. Advertiser must provide text and artwork (logo, photo, graphic). For more information on this service, please email us at  or call (831) 425-5422x101.

Free Non-profit Listing

Resource Directory Application

      Step 1: Fill out our online application here. Deadline extended, apply today!

      Step 2: Center staff will contact you to secure payment. You can use the table below to determine total cost.

      Step 3: Center staff will e-mail you a copy of your listing for approval. 

      Step 4: Submit any display ad files in the format and size specified above to . 

      Step 5: Center staff will e-mail you a pdf of your ad for verification.

      Step 6: Resource Directories should be ready for distribution this fall.
